The following is developed from the Family Tree information and Pilar and Hermogenes’ marriage certificate:
1. Pilar Torres and Hermogenes Carrion were married June 7, 1925 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. She was 18 and he was 30 years old.
2. They were married in the church, Parroquia de las Mercedes y San Lorenzo, in San Lorenzo.
3. Pilar and Hermogenes were married for 43 years at the time of his death in 1968.
4. Pilar outlived Hermogenes by more than 25 years.
5. When Hermogenes was born in 1894, male life expectancy was less than 47 years. He died at just under 74 years old. So he out lived his birth life expectancy by27. Ref. http://www.efmoody.com/estate/lifeexpectancy.html
6. When Pilar was born in 1907, female life expectancy was less than 53 years. When she died she was 86. So she outlived her birth life expectancy by 33 years.
7. Pilar and Hermogenes contributed 14 children, 62 grandchildren, 102 great grandchildren, and 44 great, great grandchildren to the world’s population.
8. Carmen Gonzalez, Domingo’s daughter was the first and Jessica Carrion, Genaro’s daughter, was the last grandchild.
9. Of the 44 great, great grandchildren, 24 (or 54.54%) are progeny of Ernesta and Fernando Contreras.
10. Pilar and Hermogenes’ oldest child as of July 1st is Domingo at 86 years old and their youngest is Luis at 64 years old; a difference of 24.2 years.
11. Two of Pilar’s grandchildren were born outside of the United States. Selina Carrion, Felo Carrion’s daughter, was born in Okinawa, Japan. And, Sara Carrion (Martin Carrion's daughter) was also born abroad in Zaragoza, Spain. She currently lives in Barcelona.
12. There are two sets of twins in the family. Andrew & Alison Emerick (Felisa's grandchildren) and Isabel Ana & Aubrey Mae Louthan (Domingo's great-granddaughters).
