Happy 67th Birthday to cousin Carmen Carrion Gonzalez Feb 8th.

Speedy recovery and come home soon God bless you. Cousin Dali and family.
Both my mom, Paulita, and Yole had forms of alzheimers.  My mom was diagnosed at age 52 and died at age 62.  Alzheimer's is a family disease, so with 2 family members already diagnosed, the Carrion's are at risk for the disease.  It is devastating to watch someone you love deteriorate before your eyes, and very scary that you, your children, or your siblings may end up with the disease.  With research, they are finding out that the earlier it is catched, the more successful it can be to treat, but they still have a long ways to go to diagnose it properly and treat it.

I just signed the petition to make Alzheimer's disease a national priority.  It would be awesome if we could come together as a family and have everyone take a few minutes to sign it.  I know there are a lot of us!  It's quick, easy and only takes a few moments.  Painless.

To sign, go to: http://www.alz.org/whyisigned/

The signatures will be delivered to Congress on September 21, 2010  World Alzheimer's Day.  It is a petition for more aid for Alzheimers research so that they can find a cure and more accurate diagnosis.

Thanks!
